My group was very nice and they all gave me some really good advice on how to implement a few things on my opening. The biggest one that resonated with me was including a sort of voiceover for clarification that our main character is a spy. A voice over of her helper Jolly for example to tell her some instructions or a reminder when she goes in to the diner.
Overall, my teammates liked the idea that I put to the table and they enjoyed it.
We first talk about Madison's film opening. Madison had a really nice idea for her drama scene. I rea;;y liked the story that she is trying to execute. She wants to create an introduction to a story of two sisters that have grown apart and aren't as close than they used to be. There are a few things she could improve to sort of show that the sisters have grown apart like showing the sister in the scene for example. Overall, the idea is a very nice and I can't wait to see what she comes up with.
We then talked about Alejandro's film opening. I really like the idea that he had in mind for his sequence. He wants to do a film opening similar to a Fast and Furious movie. He is going to have some pretty sick cars. I think his film opening is going to be executed really well. I only had a bit of doubt on whether the cars he wants to use in the scene but he and his team seem to have that figured out.
Next we moved on to Jacob. Jacob had a really nice idea of creating a sports drama heavily inspired by the movie Rocky. I really liked the idea because it sounds familiar however it is different with the way he wants to film it. There is one thing that really confused me and it is what the backflash scenes will show. I know that Jacob wants to show backflashes of the fighter during a match but I'm still not sure how he is going to execute it and how it will look. However, I believe this film opening has a really nice story.
After that we talked about Oliver's film opening. Oliver has a few things he needs to work on but he has an overall idea of what he wants to film. He wants to do an action film about to people exchanging something in an empty parking lot. However, one of the guys dies. He is still trying to see how he will execute it but me and my teammates gave him a few ideas on how he can execute it. We all really enjoyed his idea.
Finally, we talked about Alessandra's idea. She has a really nice idea of creating a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi film opening. She wants this story to be about two friends who try to survive together but one of the friend's doesn't make it. She still is thinking about how she is going to execute this and where she wants to film. My teammates and I also gave her a few ideas on how she should film the opening.
