Welcome back ladies and gentlemen!
Today I will be talking about our post-production/ editing process for our film opening.

CCR Question #1→
Camera turns on
I am trying to settle the camera into a firm spot
Fix my hair and sit down
Me: Hello, my name is Kiarmary Roman and today I will be answering my first two CCR questions
I look down
High-angle mid-shot of my lap opening folder
The folder is empty
Me: Uh… where did my questions go?
Look up at camera
Me: There seems to be-
A door opens and distracts me
Walking into frame comes Agent 1
He is all dressed up with black sunglasses
He hands me the paper
Agent 1: Don’t leave your stuff lying around next time
Me: Yeah that’s become an issue hasn’t it
I chuckle but he has no expression in his face
Me: Alright, question #1
Well, our film opening uses many of the action comedy conventions. We use traditional elements that help bring that familiarity of a classic action movie to our target audience. For example, we implemented the classic fan favorite characters: the badass yet funny protagonist and the evil, brute antagonist. We have also implemented classic scenes: an exchange and a chase scene.
We have also challenged a convention with our main character. It is very rare to see a leading lady in an action comedy movie. Usually the protagonist is the stereotypical goofy dude that outsmarts the evil boss. According to the website Stat Significant, about 50% of females are cast as protagonists in Romance films but only 11% of them are cast as protagonists in an action films and 30% in comedy movies.
I guess it is safe to say that our film opening represents the social issue of underestimating women's ability to execute jobs as this. Although times have changed, and we are in 2026, there is still much prejudice on women. However we have proven throughout history that we are capable of doing a lot, from saving the economy of a country to pulling off a big heist, we are capable of much more than most believe.
Message pops up on watch.
Message: There is a package waiting for you. Meet me at the lake.
Me: Oh
Breaking 4th wall
I stand up and open the garage door
Me: Damn it uhh
The garage door finally opens
I grab the camera
Me: We’re going on a little field trip.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment we have al been waiting for...
The other thing that changed was costume, but just slightly. Our actors used what they had available to them and it still stuck to the theme as well. Our henchman Rigo and our evil boss Binzy (we finally changed the name), played by the super talented Gabe Rivas both had the more modernized version of the concept that we had in mind.
Both actors had never had any acting experience before and they struggled a bit at first. However, they did a fabulous job and we could tell that they were having a lot of fun.
I really like our production logo and I can't wait to implement it into our film opening for people to see.
Props are very important for our film opening. My teammates and I have acquired a few of them but are still in the search for a few others.
My teammates wanted to have good locations that fit our story and that can conveniently be close to our home's.
The first location we've had in mind is the diner Lester's in Sunrise.
Our plan B, if we are not allowed to film there, is the Weston Diner.
Lastly, we want to film our chase scene in the Weston Town Center.
These are some areas where we can film.
Costumes for our film opening are fairly simple.
I have been searching for some pieces for the characters and i have found a few in both my closet and my dad's closet as well.
Agent Vienna:
Leather jacket that will be used
Mr. Evhaul:
Henchmen:
These pieces might change due to some details but this is the overall look we are going for right now. I really enjoy the fact that not a lot of money has to come out of the pocket in order to bring these characters to life through the costumes. I really enjoyed putting these pieces together and I believe they will look great on our actors.
Agent Vienna is a combination of funny and serious. Something me and my teammates wanted from the beginning. We wanted our main character to have a balance between both in order to keep audiences entertained. Although Agent Vienna is known for making some mistakes in her missions, she is still a very respected and talented spy... she just let's a few things slip, and she always gets the job done.
Our main character's development for this story is fairly simple.
Agent Vienna is first seen as a serious character when approaching the tables and when sitting down. Her walk is confident and her outfit is classic. Once she starts talking to Mr. Evhaul, the audience can start to see that she is a funny character. Vienna is clumsy and a bit of a smartass. She uses her wits in order to gain Mr. Evhaul's trust... and his package. Towards the end of the opening, when she is escaping her enemies, audiences can see that she is really good at her job and a really fast runner. In this part you can see how much training she has gone through and that she is very serious about her job and her very important package.
Agent Vienna has her right hand man Jolly, who helps her during her missions. He gives her instructions and reminds her to stick to the plan. In order to communicate during missions, Agent Vienna carries an earpiece with on every mission. She listens to Jolly as they give orders.
Briefcase are an essential part of an exchange. In our film opening, the briefcases are really important to our characters, each containing what the other asked for. This set of props are what drives the story and what causes Vienna to run away with a very important package. These pieces are what I look forward to implementing the most in our film opening.
While the vibrant blue briefcase represents Agent Vienna's silly personality while showing that she is legit about her job.
A media theory I would like to implement to my film opening would be Vladimir Propp's Character theory. This theory talks about the seven traditional characters that are show in fantasy stories. Let's jump right in.
